I got this from my Stepmoms recipe stash many years ago. It puts a different twist on Bratwurst.

1 1/2 lb
bratwurst (fully cooked)
2 Tbsp
hot oil
1 c
onion chopped
1/2 c
green pepper
1 tsp
dry mustard
1/2 tsp
pepper to taste
3 Tbsp
1 c
chicken broth
3/4 c


1In skillet brown fully cooked bratwurst in oil for 5 minutes. Remove and slice into 1 1/2 slices and set aside.
2Add onions and green pepper and dry mustard to pan drippings.Cook until onions are tender, not brown.
3Add 3 tbsp flour; one cup chicken broth and 3/4 cups milk. Cook and stir until thick and bubbly. Add bratwurst slices. Reduce heat and cover. Cook for 5 mins more.
4Serve with hot noodles or dumplings.
