Ingredients

  • 4 pounds ham, cooked and chopped
  • 5 - green apples, chopped
  • 2 - onions, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon sage
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable seasoning
  • 1 cup ham gravy or
  • 1 - ham/chicken boullion cube disolved
  • 4 - potatoes, cooked and mashed
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted

How To Make country style ham apple pie

  • Step 1
    In a deep baking dish, arrange alternate layers of ham and apples.
  • Step 2
    Sprinkle each layer with onion and seasonings.
  • Step 3
    Moisten each layer with gravy or bouillon and then cover this with a thick layer of mashed potatoes.
  • Step 4
    Brush the potato peaks with melted butter.
  • Step 5
    Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until the ham is thoroughly heated and the potato peaks are browned.
