My husband likes hot and spicey food so I made this barbecue sauce and he said (as he was sweating) it's sooo good honey. I could never understand why people like hot food I guess because I can't eat it at all. Well here it is. Enjoy

Ingredients

  • 6 pounds pork ribs or pork baby back ribs
  • 3 cups ketchup
  • 2 - bottles guiness beer (11.2 oz.each)
  • 2 cups barbecue sauce
  • 2/3 cup honey
  • 1 - small vidalia onion chopped
  • 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons chopped chipolte peppers in adobo sauce
  • 4 tablespoons ground chipolte pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

How To Make chipolte honey barbeque ribs

  • Step 1
Preheat oven to 300, place ribs in pan and cover with aluminum foil in oven for 1 hour. Barbecue sauce: In a large saucepan combine sauce ingredients; brint to a boil and reduce heat; simmer, uncovered for 45 minutes until thickened, stirring occasionally. Remove ribs from oven and pour half of the sauce over ribs coating all the ribs and place back in the oven uncovered 1 hour adding more sauce if needed. If you want, for the last few minutes grill them until just browned but it isn't necessary. Some people just like grilled ribs better. If not continue baking low and slow until tender.
