  • PORK TENDERLOIN
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 2 teaspoons Chinese 5 spice
  • 1 medium pork tenderloin
  • HOISIN SAUCE
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup apricot jam
  • 1/2 cup hoisin sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup dry sherry
  • 3 tablespoons dark brown sugar
  • chopped scallions, for garnish

How To Make chinese style pork tenderloin with hoisin sauce

  • Step 1
To make the pork, preheat the oven 375 degrees F. Mix the olive oil, garlic, ginger and Chinese 5 spice together. Rub all over the frozen pork tenderloin. Place the tenderloin on a baking sheet and roast for 20 minutes.
  • Step 2
Meanwhile, make the sauce. Mix all ingredients for the sauce together in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and simmer until thick and syrupy, about 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Step 3
Remove the tenderloin from the oven and pour the sauce over top. Return to the oven and roast 15 to 20 minutes. Remove to a cutting board, cut into rounds, and garnish with scallions.
