The yellow bean sauce is the base of this dish. The longer the meat simmers in it, the better.

Ingredients For chinese-style pork noodle bowl

  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 2 lg
    eggs
  • 2 bottle
    scallions, white parts chopped green parts cut into rings
  • 6 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp
    grated ginger
  • 1 lb
    ground pork
  • 4 Tbsp
    yellow bean paste
  • 2 tsp
    soy sauce
  • 2 tsp
    dark soy sauce
  • 1/4 c
    Hoisin sauce
  • 1 c
    water
  • 2 Tbsp
    Shaoxing wine
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1 lg
    carrot, peeled and julienned
  • 12 oz
    rice noodles

How To Make chinese-style pork noodle bowl

    Place 1 Tbsp olive oil in a pan. Add the beaten eggs and cook into a thin omelet.

    Roll up the omelet and remove from the pan, and set aside. Then slice the omelet into strips.

    Heat the rest of the olive oil in the pan and add the scallion whites, garlic, and ginger. Cook 1 minute.

    Add the pork and cook, breaking up until no longer pink.

    Add the yellow bean paste, soy sauces, Hoisin sauce, Shaoxing wine, water, and brown sugar. Simmer for 30 minutes.

    While simmering, cook the noodles according to package directions.

    Place the noodles in 4 bowls. Top with the pork, julienned carrots, Omelet pieces, and dark green parts of the scallions.
