Ingredients For chinese roasted pork belly

  • 2 lb
    pork belly
  • 3
    cubes red fermented tofu mashed with fork
  • 1/2 tsp
    Chinese 5 spice
  • 1 tsp
    granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced

How To Make chinese roasted pork belly

  • 1
    Mix the red fermented tofu Chinese 5 Spice, salt, sugar, and garlic. Rub all over the pork belly. Let marinate overnight in the fridge.

    Take the pork out of the fridge 1 hour before baking. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

    Place the pork on a rack in a baking pan and pour water in the bottom of the pan under the pork but don't touch the pork.

    Roast for 1 hour 15 minutes turning every 20 minutes. Let rest for 15 minutes.
