chinese pork ribs (pressure cooker)
These are delicious and easy to make. I used my 9 liter (9 1/2 quart) stove top pressure cooker for this. Follow all safety precautions for your model of pressure cooker.

How To Make chinese pork ribs (pressure cooker)
-
Step 1Cut the ribs into 1 bone pieces and place in a large mixing bowl. I also started to add the spring onion and garlic.
-
Step 2Add the brown sugar, sesame oil, light soy sauce, salt, black pepper, ginger, Sriracha, garlic, and spring onion and mix to coat all pieces well. Marinate the ribs at room temp for 30 minutes.
-
Step 3After 30 minutes have passed, sprinkle on the corn starch and mix that into the mixture.
-
Step 4Add 1 cup of water to your pressure cooker, place the steamer tray or trivet in the cooker, then add the contents of the mixing bowl (ribs and marinade) to the pressure cooker.
-
Step 5Add the lid and lock, place the weight (jiggler) on the top, and place on high heat. When the jiggler starts to move and vent pressure (indicating full pressure), reduce heat to low or medium low, just enough heat to maintain full pressure. Set your timer for 15 minutes.
-
Step 6When 15 minutes have passed, turn off the heat and move the cooker to an unused burner and allow a natural release of pressure, meaning you have to do nothing.
-
Step 7When you have indications of zero pressure in the cooker, about 15-20 minutes after you removed it from the heat, remove the weight then remove the lid.
-
Step 8Remove the ribs with tongs to a serving plate, drizzle some of the liquid over the ribs, sprinkle with spring onion and coriander as desired.
-
Step 9Serve with rice on the side.
