My husband loves to eat this chili with shredded cheese and crackers... no spoon required! I have made this recipe with venison sausage as well.

Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1/4 pound ground, hot italian sausage
- 2 cans kidney beans in sauce
- 6 ounces tomato paste, with italian herbs
- 16 ounces tomato sauce
- 1 package taco seasoning mix, or 2 packages depending on taste
How To Make chili

Step 1Brown ground beef and sausage in large skillet on medium to high heat. Drain fat.

Step 2Combine kidney beans, tomato paste, tomato sauce and taco seasoning (I like to use hot taco seasoning - but you can use any kind) into a crock pot. Turn knob to desired setting.

Step 3Add beef and sausage to crock pot. Combine thoroughly.

Step 4Heat until bubbling. I usually set mine on high for approximately 2-3 hours. Since beef and sausage are already cooked, just heat and serve!
