chili & tomato macaroni dish
This was my Grammy's recipe. It was my Grampa's favorite spaghetti though it was more of a chili and tomato macaroni dish. We all love it. Unfortunately, there's never any leftovers around my house.

Ingredients
- 1 3/4 quarts water
- 1 1/3 cups macaroni, dry
- 1/2 cup bacon, chopped
- 3 tablespoons onion, chopped
- 1 quart tomatoes (or 2 1/2 cans tomatoes)
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- - salt to taste
How To Make chili & tomato macaroni dish

Step 1Boil together 1 3/4 qts of water and 1 1/3 cups of macaroni. When macaroni is tender, drain. While waiting for this, fry 1/2 cup chopped bacon till crisp, add 3 T. chopped onion, fry till onion is wilted. Add to this 1 qt tomatoes (or 2 ½ can tomatoes) 1 T chili powder and salt to taste. Mix all together. Put into a casserole dish and bake in a 375° oven. Bake 30 minutes.
