Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese for topping
  • 1 pound bulk sausage
  • 4 ounces pepperoni
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 8 ounces sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 small chopped onion
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 28 ounces can diced tomatoes, drained
  • 3/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 pound frozen bread dough, thawed

How To Make chicago style pan pizza

  • Step 1
    Preheat the oven to 350.
  • Step 2
    Press dough into the bottom and up the sides of a greased 9 X 13 baking dish.
  • Step 3
    Mix together drained tomatoes, oregano, salt and garlic powder. Spread over dough.
  • Step 4
    Crumble the sausage into a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Step 5
    Cook and stir until evenly browned.
  • Step 6
    Remove the sausage with a slotted spoon and sprinkle over the dough crust.
  • Step 7
    Lay pepperoni on top of sausage.
  • Step 8
    Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the top.
  • Step 9
    Add the mushrooms and onion to the skillet; cook and stir until the onion is tender.
  • Step 10
    Spoon over the mozzarella cheese.
  • Step 11
    Sprinkle parmesan cheese over the top.
  • Step 12
    Bake for 25 to 35 minutes in the preheated oven or until crust is golden brown.
