Ingredients

  • 1 pound cooked ham, minced
  • 2.5 cups corn
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 small chopped green bell pepper
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 - eggs
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • - salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
  • 2 - pie crusts, 9"

How To Make cheesy ham and corn pie

  • Step 1
    Saute onion, pepper in butter in large skillet until soft, remove from heat.
  • Step 2
    Beat eggs and milk in large bowl until blended.
  • Step 3
    Add onion and peppers mixture, ham, corn, cheese, worcestershire sauce and seasoning, mix well.
  • Step 4
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step 5
    Prepare pie dough.
  • Step 6
    Can use your own or prepared crust or a mix.
  • Step 7
    Roll out a little more then half for bottom crust, place in a 11x17 baking dish, spoon in ham mixture.
  • Step 8
    Roll out remaining crust and fit over filling.
  • Step 9
    Pinch together and crimp or flute.
  • Step 10
    Cut steam vents in top.
  • Step 11
    Place on a cookie sheet or foil.
  • Step 12
    Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour or until pastry is golden brown.
  • Step 13
    Let stand a few minutes and then cut in squares.
