This is a different take on the “Sloppy Joe”. It’s good and cheesy. It can be served open-face or in hamburger style accompanied with chips, pickles, coleslaw or any other side that you prefer.

Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1/2 pound ground italian sausage (mild or hot)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 8 ounces cheddar or velveeta cheese, cut into small cubes
- 1/4 - 1/2 cup milk
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 small bell pepper, seeded and diced
- 1 - 2 - jalapeno peppers, seeded and diced
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 10 - 12 - hamburger buns or your favorite bun
- - shredded cheddar cheese for garnish (optional)
- - chopped green onion for garnish (optional)
How To Make cheeseburger sloppy joes

Step 1In a large pan on medium heat, brown the beef and sausage; drain and return to the pot.

Step 2Add the salt, black pepper, onion, bell pepper, jalapeno and garlic. Stir and cook for 3 or 4 minutes until onion starts to soften.

Step 3Add cubed cheese and milk and cook on medium low heat until cheese is melted, stirring constantly so cheese won’t scorch.

Step 4Serve hot beef mixture on warm hamburger buns along with your favorite chips, pickles, cole slaw, etc.
