onions, finely chopped

1/2 c
2 c
cooked ham, chopped
hard boiled eggs, chopped
1 c
cheddar cheese, shredded
2 Tbsp
pimento, chopped
1 Tbsp
parsley, chopped
1/2 c
croutons, herb flavored crushed

How to Make Cheese-Ham Casserole


  • 1Cook beans according to package directions; drain and reserve 1/2 cup liquid.
  • 2Melt butter in a 2-quart saucepan; saute onion.
  • 3Stir in flour and salt until well blended.
  • 4Remove from heat; stir in milk and reserved 1/2 cup liquid.
  • 5Heat to a boil, stirring constantly; boil and stir 1 minute.
  • 6Remove from heat; stir in ham, eggs, cheese, pimiento and parsley.
  • 7Place beans in baking dish; cover with ham sauce and sprinkle croutons over top.
  • 8Bake in preheated 350 oven 20 to 25 minutes.
