Ingredients
- - 3 lbs. pork loin roast or boneless shoulder
- - 1 lb. pinto beans
- - 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- - 2 tbsp. chili powder
- - 1 tbsp. cumin, ground
- - 1 tsp. oregano
- - 1 can green chiles, chopped, 27 oz
- - 3 tsp. salt or to taste
- - fritos
- - grated cheese
- - shredded lettuce
- - onions
- - diced tomatoes
- - diced avocados
- - salsa to taste
How To Make chalupa

Step 1In large pot, pout pork roast, pinto beans, garlic, chili powder, cumin, oregano, chopped chiles and salt. Cover with water; cook for 6 hours or til beans are tender.

Step 2Remove roast and all fat and bone. Shred meat. Put meat back in bean mixture, cook for 1 hour more without lid to thicken.

Step 3Serve over Fritos with grated cheese, shredded lettuce, onions, diced tomatoes, diced avocados and salsa to taste.
