spinach, thawed and drained
1 lb
italian sausage, sweet, cooked, drained and coarsley chopped
1 can(s)
cream of mushroom soup
garlic clove, minced
1 large
onion, chopped
15 oz
ricotta cheese
tomatoes, seeded and diced
4 c
noodles, cooked
1/2 tsp
1/2 tsp
parsley, chopped
"just a pinch" of salt
"just a pinch" of pepper

How to Make Casserole Florentine


  • 1Combine spinach, cream of mushroom soup, garlic and seasonings in a small bowl; spread evenly over noodles or other pasta in buttered 3-quart flat casserole.
  • 2Distribute chopped sausage over the spinach mixture and sprinkle with chopped onion on top of sausage.
  • 3Blend egg into ricotta and spread over all.
  • 4Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven 25 to 30 minutes or until golden, then allow to cool slightly. Top with garnish of tomato and parsley.
