Ingredients

  • 1 package spinach, thawed and drained
  • 1 pound italian sausage, sweet, cooked, drained and coarsley chopped
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 - garlic clove, minced
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 - egg
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 1 - tomatoes, seeded and diced
  • 4 cups noodles, cooked
  • 1/2 teaspoon marjoram
  • 1/2 teaspoon tarragon
  • - parsley, chopped
  • - "just a pinch" of salt
  • - "just a pinch" of pepper

How To Make casserole florentine

  • Step 1
    Combine spinach, cream of mushroom soup, garlic and seasonings in a small bowl; spread evenly over noodles or other pasta in buttered 3-quart flat casserole.
  • Step 2
    Distribute chopped sausage over the spinach mixture and sprinkle with chopped onion on top of sausage.
  • Step 3
    Blend egg into ricotta and spread over all.
  • Step 4
    Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven 25 to 30 minutes or until golden, then allow to cool slightly. Top with garnish of tomato and parsley.
