- PULLED PORK
- 3 pounds pork shoulder
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 1/2 cups Carolina style mustard bbq sauce
- 12 hamburger buns
- CHOW CHOW
- 2 red bell peppers, chopped
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon dry mustard
- 4 cups chopped cabbage
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
How To Make carolina bbq pulled pork with chow chow

Step 1Mix the dry seasoning for the pork together and rub it all over the pork. Place in the fridge for 3 hours.

Step 2Meanwhile make the chow chow. Bring all the ingredients together in a pan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 1 hour. Cool and refrigerate.

Step 3Place the pork in a slow cooker and cook on low for 8 to 9 hours. Shred the meat, add the BBQ sauce, and let cook until warmed through.

Step 4Serve the pork on the buns topped with chow chow.
