    3 pounds ground beef
  • ·
    2 pounds spicy sausage
  • ·
    1 large head of cabbage
  • ·
    1 large onion
  • 1 clove
    garlic or 1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 c
    uncooked rice
  • 1 bottle
    tomato or v-8 juice
  • 1 tsp
    salt and pepper

How to Make Cabbage Rolls


  1. In large pot, steam large head of cabbage until tender. Seperate leaves from head of cabbage
  2. Mix together Ground Beef & sausage, Add in Onion & garlic & salt & pepper & uncooked rice. Mix well
  3. Make a ball of the meat mixture that will fit into leaf of cabbage with Ground beef mixture. Roll cabbage leaf to cover completely the Ground beef mixture. Use a toothpick, to secure, if needed
    Place in dutch oven. Cover with Tomato or V-8 juice.
  4. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
    Cook Cabbage rolls for about 1 1/2 hours or until done.
