Ingredients

  • - 3 pounds ground beef
  • - 2 pounds spicy sausage
  • - 1 large head of cabbage
  • - 1 large onion
  • 1 clove garlic or 1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 1 bottle tomato or v-8 juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt and pepper

How To Make cabbage rolls

  • Step 1
    In large pot, steam large head of cabbage until tender. Seperate leaves from head of cabbage
  • Step 2
    Mix together Ground Beef & sausage, Add in Onion & garlic & salt & pepper & uncooked rice. Mix well
  • Step 3
    Make a ball of the meat mixture that will fit into leaf of cabbage with Ground beef mixture. Roll cabbage leaf to cover completely the Ground beef mixture. Use a toothpick, to secure, if needed Place in dutch oven. Cover with Tomato or V-8 juice.
  • Step 4
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees Cook Cabbage rolls for about 1 1/2 hours or until done.
