Bratwurst is very popular where I live and it's fun to find different ways to enjoy the wonderful flavor of bratwurst. I can't remember how I aquired this recipe, but my family and friends have enjoyed it over the years.

bulk bratwurst, not links
1 medium
onion chopped
1 can(s)
sauerkraut 8oz drained
2 c
shredded swiss cheese
2 c
1 c
beer or non alcholic beer

How to Make Bratwurst Casserole


  • 1Heat oven to 400
  • 2Spray cake pan with cooking spray.
  • 3Brown bratwurst and onion in large skillet until bratwurst is cooked. Let cool.
  • 4Sprinkle bratwurst and onion mixture in cake pan, the sauerkraut and then the swiss cheese.
  • 5Mix eggs, bisquick and beer together, pour over bratwurst mixture. Bake at 400 for 30-35 minutes. Let cool 5 minutes before serving.
