12 oz pkg
bow-tie pasta, cooked and drained
2 Tbsp
olive oil
1 lb
bulk italian sausage
1/2 tsp
red pepper flakes
1/2 c
diced onion
3 clove
garlic, minced
1-28 oz. can(s)
italian-style plum tomatoes, drained & coarsely chopped
1 1/2 c
heavy cream
1/2 tsp
3 Tbsp
minced fresh prsley

How to Make Bowties with Sausage, Tomatoes & Cream


  • 1Bring lg. pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta 8-10 min.; drain.
  • 2Heat oil in a lg. deep skillet over med. heat. Cook sausage [crumble up] and red pepper flakes 'til evenly browned. stir in onion & garlic & cook 'til onion is tender. Stir in tomatoes,cream & salt. Simmer 'til mixture thickens, 8-10 min.
  • 3Stir cooked pasta into sauce and heat through. Sprinkle with parsley.
