I found this recipe in the newspaper & it has become a favorite!

Ingredients

  • 12 oz packages bow-tie pasta, cooked and drained
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound bulk italian sausage
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-28 oz. can italian-style plum tomatoes, drained & coarsely chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons minced fresh prsley

How To Make bowties with sausage, tomatoes & cream

  • Step 1
    Bring lg. pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta 8-10 min.; drain.
  • Step 2
    Heat oil in a lg. deep skillet over med. heat. Cook sausage [crumble up] and red pepper flakes 'til evenly browned. stir in onion & garlic & cook 'til onion is tender. Stir in tomatoes,cream & salt. Simmer 'til mixture thickens, 8-10 min.
  • Step 3
    Stir cooked pasta into sauce and heat through. Sprinkle with parsley.
