Ingredients

  • 12 oz pkg
    bow-tie pasta, cooked and drained
  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1 lb
    bulk italian sausage
  • 1/2 tsp
    red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 c
    diced onion
  • 3 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1-28 oz. can(s)
    italian-style plum tomatoes, drained & coarsely chopped
  • 1 1/2 c
    heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 3 Tbsp
    minced fresh prsley

How to Make Bowties with Sausage, Tomatoes & Cream

Step-by-Step

  1. Bring lg. pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta 8-10 min.; drain.
  2. Heat oil in a lg. deep skillet over med. heat. Cook sausage [crumble up] and red pepper flakes 'til evenly browned. stir in onion & garlic & cook 'til onion is tender. Stir in tomatoes,cream & salt. Simmer 'til mixture thickens, 8-10 min.
  3. Stir cooked pasta into sauce and heat through. Sprinkle with parsley.
