My kids & I love this recipe! It is easy to make and is great with a loaf of garlic bread. The leftovers always get eaten (because like spaghetti, the sauce seems so much better the next day)

    bow tie pasta
  • 3 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1 lb
    italian sausage, mild
  • 1/2 tsp
    red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 c
    onion, diced
  • 28 oz
    canned plum tomatoes, drained & coarsely chopped
  • 1 1/2 c
    heavy cream
  • 3 Tbsp
    fresh parsley, minced
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt

How to Make Bow Tie Pasta with Creamy Sausage Sause

Step-by-Step

  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook pasta in boiling water for 8 to 10 minutes; drain.
  2. Heat oil in a large, deep skillet over medium heat. Cook sausage and pepper flakes until sausage is evenly brown. Stir in onion and garlic and cook until onion is tender. Stir in tomatoes, cream, and salt. Simmer until mixture thickens, about 8 to 10 minutes.
  3. Stir cooked pasta into sauce and heat through. Sprinkle with parsley.
