A wonderful marinaded and glazed ham for the holidays. Perfect for Easter.

Ingredients

  • 1 - 10 - 12 lb fully cooked ham
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup bourbon
  • 1 tablespoon ground cloves
  • 1 tablespoon whole cloves - enough to stud ham

How To Make bourbon ham

  • Step 1
    Place ham in heavy plastic bag. Mix all ingredients except whole cloves. Pour over ham. Enclose ham in bag. Refrigerate overnight.
  • Step 2
    The next day, reserve marinate. Put ham in baking pan and bake at 325 degrees for about 1 hour, or until heated through.
  • Step 3
    Remove skin and shave fat to 1/4 inch. Score fat into 1 inch diamonds.
  • Step 4
    Insert whole clove in each diamond. Baste with marinate. Cook 1/2 to 1 hour more, until glaze is a golden brown.
