This is an easy way that I cook pork steak, and it is delicious. I served mine with a baked potato and a side dish of Hot Purple Cabbage; the perfect complement to the meal. Enjoy!

Ingredients For bonnie's grilled pork steak

  • 2 lean pork steaks, excess fat removed.
  • 1 teaspoon adolph's tenderizer, with no msg
  • 1 teaspoon coarse black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • olive oil, about a tablespoon to each side

How To Make bonnie's grilled pork steak

  • 1
Preheat your indoor (or outdoor) grill and set it between 375 and 400. (I grill mine at 400) You don't want it too hot, because it will dry out the pork, but you do want a good sear and nice grill marks on the pork.

Rub the meat with the Adolph's tenderizer and let it rest for about 30 minutes. Rub some olive oil on both sides of the steak and on the grate of the indoor grill. Note: I don't use salt because Adolph's contains salt. Sprinkle the paprika, coarse ground black pepper and the garlic powder to taste on each side of the steak. I use about 1 teaspoon of each.

Grill until the meat has some good grill marks and then flip the steak over and grill the other side. Check with an instant meat thermometer to make sure it is done to your preference. It takes about ten minutes per side. Mine has a slight pink to the center. Tent your meat for a few minutes before serving.

Optional: You can brush soy sauce or barbecue sauce on the steak once it is brown. Enjoy!
