BLT Sandwich

Sabrina Nichols

This BLT Sandwich is on toasted french bread with a homemade thousand Island dressing...The dressing gives the sandwich a great taste. I also bake the bacon for easy clean up and perfect bacon pieces. I hope you enjoy it.

1 pkg
1 large
5-6 medium
lettuce leaves
4-6 Tbsp
thousand island dressing or you can use real mayonnaise for the spread ( home made recipe for thousand island dressing down below)
8-12 slice
thinly sliced and toasted french bread or any bread you would like

1Bacon - Baking the bacon is easier and less clean up.
Line a baking sheet with foil. Put bacon slices on the foil and place the baking sheet on the center rack of a cold oven. Turn oven on to 400°F....and just leave it to cook for 15-17 mins. Bacon will be golden brown, DO NOT BURN... watch it.

( If you want you can flip the bacon over with tongs at 10 mins)

Place on paper towel or paper plate to drain.
2Place on paper towel or paper plate to drain.
3Lettuce and tomato- wash and slice, and set a side

French bread- thinly slice and lightly toast, or you can leave it not toasted, may use any bread you like.

Thousand Island dressing- Spred on sandwich ( This dressing gives the BLT Sandwich a different taste , so if you don't like dressing you can use mayo )
4Home made Thousand Island Dressing-

1 c real mayo
1/4 c red cilli sause
1 1/2 Tsp minced onions
2 Tsp ketchup
2 tsp sweet pickle relish
1/2 tsp garlic paste or minced garlic

and a dash of salt and fresh black pepper

Mix well and put in ice box to chill for an hour or so ( this makes about 2 cups)
