Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups dark lager beer
  • 1/4 cup coarse sea salt
  • 3 tablespoons (packed)dark brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons mild-flavored light molasses
  • 6 - 1 1/4 inch thick center cut-bone in pork chop
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 3 teaspoons coarsly fresh gound black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons sea salt
  • 2 teaspoons ground sage
  • FOR GLAZE
  • 1/2 cup jack daniel's
  • 1/2 cup apple cider
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 4 teaspoons cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

How To Make beer -brined grilled pork chops with glaze

  • Step 1
    Combine water, beer, 1/4 cup of coarse salt, brown sugar and molasses in large bowl. Stir until slat and sugar dissolve. Place pork chop in large reseal able plastic bag. Pour beer brine over pork chops,seal bag. Refrigerator 6 hours. Turning your bag often.
  • Step 2
    prepare your grill. Remove chops from brine; pat dry, Mix garlic, pepper,2 teaspoon of salt, and sage in small bowl. Grill chops until they register 145 degree about 10 minutes per side.
  • Step 3
    For Glaze: Whisk Jack Daniels, Cider, sugar, 2 teaspoon vinegar, mustard, vanilla, and cayenne together pour glaze mixture to a skillet and bring to boil, cook until reduced to thick glazed. 3 to 5 minutes.
