These are so tender and the meat just falls off the bones. Gravy is delicious.

Ingredients

  • 2 lb
    pork ribs
  • 1 tsp
    each salt pepper garlic powder onion powder and mccormicks chipotle garlic seasoning.
  • 2 Tbsp
    oil
  • 1 large
    sweet onion chopped
  • 2 can(s)
    12 oz beer i use bud light
  • 2 c
    beef stock
  • 2 pkg
    powdered beef or pork gravy
  • 1 pkg
    lipton onion soup mix
  • 1 1/2 c
    chopped fresh mushrooms
  • 1 c
    heavy cream

How to Make Beer Braised Ribs

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix the seasonings together and rub on the ribs. Let sit on counter for 30 minutes. Heat a large skillet and add oil. Sear the ribs on all sides. Remove from pan. Add the onions and garlic and saute until browned. Pour a little beer in pan to deglaze then add the ribs back to pan. Add the rest of the beer. Place in preheated 375 degree oven and bake for 1 1/2 hours.
  2. While ribs are baking make the gravy. Place a little bit of oil in a saucepan. Add the mushrooms and cook until browned. Add the beef broth and gravy mixes. Stir and bring to a boil. Add the heavy cream and onion soup mix. Cook until thickened.
  3. After the ribs have been baking for an hour and a half Pour the gravy mixture over the ribs. Allow to bake another half an hour.
  4. Serve the ribs with the gravy over top and there will be plenty more for potatoes or noodles or rice
