We always had our choice of what we wanted for our birthday dinner and these ribs were always my choice every year.

  • 4 lb
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter or drippings
  • 1 medium
    onion, minced
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 4 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1/8 tsp
    cayene pepper
  • 1 c
  • 3 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    ground mustard
  • 1 c
  • 1/2 c
    celery chopped
  • 2 Tbsp

How to Make Barbeque Ribs


  1. Brown ribs in fat in large skillet. When ribs are brown, transfer to roasting pan. Roast for 2 hours at 350.
  2. Just before ribs are done, melt butter in a skillet and brown onion. Add remaining ingredients. When hot, pour over ribs and roast in oven another 15 min or until desired thickness is reached.
