We always had our choice of what we wanted for our birthday dinner and these ribs were always my choice every year.

Ingredients

  • 4 pounds ribs
  • 2 tablespoons butter or drippings
  • 1 medium onion, minced
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 4 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayene pepper
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 3 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tablespoon ground mustard
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup celery chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fat

How To Make barbeque ribs

  • Step 1
    Brown ribs in fat in large skillet. When ribs are brown, transfer to roasting pan. Roast for 2 hours at 350.
  • Step 2
    Just before ribs are done, melt butter in a skillet and brown onion. Add remaining ingredients. When hot, pour over ribs and roast in oven another 15 min or until desired thickness is reached.
