Ingredients
- 5-6 pounds pork loin
- 1 package bacon
- 2 tablespoons granulated garlic
- 2 teaspoons lawry's seasoned salt
- 2 teaspoons dried crumbled leaf basil
- 1 teaspoon dried crumbled leaf oregano
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 4-6 tablespoons olive oil
How To Make bacon wrapped pork tenderloin
-
Step 1Combine all spices and rub seasoning all over the pork tenderloin. If you do not have a pan large enough, you can cut the loin in 2 pieces.
-
Step 2Lay bacon diagonally across the pork bottom and secure with toothpicks. Turn it over and do the same on the top but will not need to secure it. Coat the top and sides with olive oil.
-
Step 3Place in a large roasting pan lined with foil and bake uncovered in a 400° oven for 1½ to 2 hours depending on the size. Pork should reach an internal temperature of about 155°.
-
Step 4Remove from oven and wrap in foil. Let stand for at least 10 minutes before slicing. This is wonderful served with pork gravy and masshed potatoes but it can also be sliced thinner for sandwiches.
