These instructions seems so simplistic I almost didn't post them, but some people might appreciate the information.

1 lb
sliced bacon (we prefer thick sliced)



Preheat oven to 375º
Line baking sheet with pachment paper
Arrange bacon slices in single layer on baking sheet or on a rack placed inside the lined baking sheet.
Place in oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until desired crispness is reached
Remove pan from oven and transfer bacon to paper towels to drain.
You can save the bacon grease if desired by pouring into a jar

Place a paper towel On microwavable plate (I use heavy duty paper plate).
Arrange bacon slices in single layer on paper towel
(usually about four slices is the maximum that will fit on the plate)
Place another paper towel over top of bacon to avoid splattering
Turn microwave on to 3 minutes
Dependent on the power of your microwave you may have to adjust this setting. I usually check mine after 2 minutes through the cycle to make sure it's not overcooking.
Remove from microwave and transfer bacon to a clean paper towel to drain.
If you use paper plate, you can just throw it away with grease saturated paper towels.

Sometimes I use my non-stick electric griddle, especially at the beach house when we are all there (14-20 strong).

Turn griddle heat to 325º-350º
Place bacon slices in single layer on the griddle
Cook for 3-4 minutes, then flip slices over and cook on other side for about 2-3 minutes until desired crispness is reached.
Transfer to paper towels to drain.
The bacon grease will run into the reservoir usually located at the front of the griddle; you can save the grease by tranferring to a jar.

Heat large skillet to medium heat, place slices of bacon in single layer in skillet.

Cook for approximately 3 minutes, then flip over and cook other side about 2-3 minutes until bacon is of desired crispness.

Transfer to paper towel to drain. You can save the grease by transferring to a jar.
5Save bacon grease in a covered jar, best if saved in refrigerator to avoid getting rancid.
