Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
- 24 - asparagus spears
- 8 slices ham, cooked and thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
How To Make asparagus ham rolls

Step 1In a saucepan, melt butter; stir in flour and cook until thick.

Step 2Gradually stir in milk and cook until bubbly and thickened.

Step 3Stir in cheese, salt and pepper.

Step 4Remove from heat.

Step 5Place three asparagus stalks on each ham slice.

Step 6Roll up; secure with toothpicks if necessary.

Step 7Place in 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan; cover with cheese sauce.

Step 8Sprinkle with crumbs.

Step 9Bake at 375 for 20 minutes.
