1 1/2 Tbspcanola oil

3/4 cyellow onions, diced

ground Himalayan pink salt, to taste

1 lbground pork

freshly ground black pepper, to taste (i always use mixed peppercorns)

3 lgcloves garlic, finely chopped

1 Tbspminced ginger
-
2 Tbspbrown sugar
-
1 TbspHoisin sauce
-
1 Tbspsweet chili sauce

1/2 Tbsplow-sodium soy sauce
-
1 tspsesame oil

1 cjasmine rice, rinsed and drained

1 1/4 ccold water
- BOWL
-
1 lgcarrots, julienned
-
1/2 lgEnglish cucumber, thinly sliced and halved

1 cpurple cabbage, thinly sliced
-
2 lggreen onions, thinly sliced
-
1 Tbsptoasted sesame seeds, for garnish
-
1/4 cchopped cilantro, for garnish
-
4lime wedges, for serving
How To Make asian pork rice bowl

1In a skillet over medium heat, heat canola oil. Add diced onions, season with salt, and sauté for 2 minutes.

2Add ground pork, breaking up the meat into tiny pieces; season with freshly ground black pepper. Cook pork until almost done.

3Add garlic and ginger; sauté until the meat is no longer pink.

4Add brown sugar, hoisin sauce, sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Stir until everything is well blended and cook until the liquid is mostly evaporated, about 9 to 10 minutes.

5Meanwhile, make the rice.

6To assemble, spoon the meat mixture into a bowl and sprinkle on toasted sesame seeds.

7Add jasmine rice, thinly sliced vegetables and garnish with chopped cilantro; serve with a lime wedge.
