This a very easy dish.This is my mother-in-laws favorite dish and I always try to make it for her at least once when she comes to visit!Keeps her HAPPY!

Ingredients

3 lb
pork cut into large cubes. (may also use boneless skinless chicken breast or thighs large cubed or beef large cubed if preferred)
1/2 c
olive oil or conola oil
1/2 c
soy sauce, dark
1/2 c
white vinegar
1/2 c
sugar
1/2 c
water
1 c
7-up
3
garlic cloves, smashed
3
stick green onion
3
bay leaves
3
star anise
1
white onion, diced
1 tsp
salt
1 tsp
pepper

How to Make Asian Adobo or Humba

Step-by-Step

  • 1Cook the Pork in 4 quart or larger pan in conola or olive oil until golden brown.Drain fat from the pan.
  • 2Add all remaining ingredients to the pan with the pork.
  • 3Cover tightly and let simmer over low/medium heat,until pork is tender (about 3 hours).
  • 4Turn of heat cover and let stand for 15 minutes before serving.Serve over your rice of choice or even noodles.
