apple, onion & sage pork chops
Great fall recipe. Love to serve gravy over mashed potatoes. The recipe works well with any cut of pork.

Ingredients
- 4 - 1 inch think pork chops
- 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon sage, dried
- 1/2 teaspoon minced, dried garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 2 medium apples, thinly sliced
- 1 cup apple juice
- 1 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
How To Make apple, onion & sage pork chops

Step 1Mix flour, all of the spices and salt. Reserve 1 tablespoon of seasoned flour mixture. Coat pork chops with remaining seasoning.

Step 2Cook pork chops in 2 tbs of oil in a large skillet on medium high heat until browned on both sides. Remove from skillet.

Step 3Add onion and cook until they start to caramelize. Add apple and cook with onion until apple is tender.

Step 4Add reserved flour mixture and brown sugar to juice mix until sugar and flour is disolved. Pour over apples and onions in skillet.

Step 5Return pork chops to the skillet, bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 30 minutes until pork is tender.
