Ingredients
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 - 5 pounds pork sirloin roast
- salt - & pepper
- SAUCE
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/3 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons garlic paste
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ginger paste
- 1/2 - 1 teaspoons red pepper flakes
- salt - if needed
How To Make ~ another tasty pulled pork ~
-
Step 1In a saucepan, saute onion until tender in oil. Stir in remaining sauce ingredients and simmer for 5 - 7 minutes. Set aside. Can do this before or after placing pork in slow cooker.
-
Step 2Rinse and pat dry pork sirloin. Place in crock pot, salt and pepper. Add 1/2 CUP water. Cook on low for 8 hours or until tender. Drain any liquid. Remove the meat and let cool. Once cool enough to touch, using a couple forks, pull apart pork. Remove any fat or gristle. Return to pot and pour sauce over and toss to coat. Cook another hour on low. Serve as a side or on a nice crusty bun.
