Delightfully different, this unique pie is loaded with flavor and certainly one to put on your menu.

Ingredients

  • 2 large 12-inch pizza crusts
  • cornmeal, as needed for dusting
  • 1 can pizza sauce (7.5 oz./213 ml)
  • 1/2 cup red onions, diced
  • 1/2 cup roasted red peppers, drained and diced
  • 6 slices cooked bacon, cut into small pieces
  • 2 large button mushrooms, washed and thinly sliced
  • 2 cans smoked oysters, drained
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (substitute mild paprika)
  • 2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes, or to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley, for garnish

How To Make smoked oyster and bacon pizza

  • Step 1
    Preheat the oven to 500 degrees F and dust 2 pizza pans with cornmeal before placing the crusts.
  • Step 2
    Spread 1/2 cup per pizza with sauce, leaving about 1 inch around the edges.
  • Step 3
    Add onions, roasted red peppers, bacon, mushrooms, 1 can smoked oysters per pizza, hot paprika, cheddar cheese, and red pepper flakes.
  • Step 4
    Transfer to the preheated oven and bake for 12 minutes.
  • Step 5
    Remove from the heat and let it sit for 5 minutes before sprinkling on parsley and slicing.
