My grandchildren and I created this recipe. Cooking together and eating together is an important part of our lives. We have fun picking out unusual ingredients and building a meal around it... This time we built our meal around Naan bread! We discussed many possibilities and the vote was Naan Bread Bigfoot Pizza! This was easy, fun and wonderful! All of the flavors and textures worked perfectly! The best part of any of our recipes is being together in the kitchen and at the dinning room table enjoying our creations! Play With Your Food! xo

Ingredients For naan bread big foot pizza

  • BREAD:
  • 12 lg
    naan bread (kind of shaped like a big foot)
  • MEAT:
  • 2 lb
    italian sausage, hot
  • SAUCE:
  • 1 can
    tomato paste (12 ounces)
  • 3 can
    water (use tomato paste can)
  • 1 qt
    pasta sauce
  • 1 can
    diced tomatoes (size doesn't matter)
  • 1 tsp
    each: black pepper, garlic powder, dried basil
  • OPTIONAL TOPPINGS:
  • ham, pepperoni, bacon
  • bell peppers, onion, sliced tomato

How To Make naan bread big foot pizza

  • Naan Bread, looks kind of like a foot, and it takes up the width of a baking sheet!

    Place large pieces of Naan Bread (kind of in shape of a foot) on baking sheets. Three to four on each pan.
  • Sauce simmering.

    Combine all sauce ingredients and let simmer.

    Cook the Italian Sausage in a skillet for about 8 minutes until all pieces are cooked.
  • Spread chunks of Diced Tomato in the sauce, on the Naan Bread.

    Spread the Naan bread with sauce.
  • Cooked chunks of Italian Sausage scattered over the tomatoes and tomato sauce.

    Distribute cooked sausage over the sauce.
  • Shredded Mozzarella Sprinkled over the sausage layer.

    Sprinkle shredded mozzarella over the sausage and sauce. *** You can add any optional ingredients you like!
  • My oven has 4 racks, but I only did 3 racks this time.  Baked at 400 degrees.

    Put baking sheets in 400 degree oven. Bake 8 to 12 minutes until the cheese is melted and the golden color you like.
  • A finished Big Foot!

    Remove "pizzas' from oven.
  • Evie smiling, Ashton concentrating, Paxton very happy... They loved this recipe!
