    pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 c
    shredded low moisture mozzarella
  • 1/2 c
  • 4
slices crispy cooked bacon coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 c
    chopped red pepper
  • 1/2 c
    chopped green pepper

How to Make French Bread Pizza

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Slice the bread in half lengthwise. Spread the sauce. Sprinkle with half of the mozzarella. Top with pepperoni, bacon and peppers. Sprinkle with the rest of the cheese.
  3. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until cheese is melted and slightly browned. (see notes)
  4. NOTES
If a little more browning is desired turn the broiler on low for about 1 minute. Broilers are unpredictable so stay close by and monitor the situation. If your stove is ancient or you are not familiar with your broiler I encourage you to skip this step.
