We love this easy cast-iron skillet pizza made with store-bought, ready-to-go pizza dough, your favorite jarred pizza sauce, Parmesan, mozzarella, and all your favorite pizza toppings. The cast-iron skillet is ideal for those who love a thick and crispy crust.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 3 tablespoons Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese
  • 2 ounces pepperoni
  • 1/2 medium green pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion

How To Make cast iron skillet pizza

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 475 degrees F. Lightly grease or oil a 10 or 12-inch cast-iron skillet.
  • Step 2
    Pat out the pizza dough in the cast-iron skillet. Poke it well with a table fork. See the picture above.
  • Step 3
    Spread the pizza sauce over the dough, sprinkle with oregano, and top with the Parmesan and 1 1/2 cups of mozzarella cheese. Top with pepperoni, green pepper, and onion. Top with the remaining cheese.
  • Step 4
    Bake for 18-20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
