Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound thick sliced bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
- 1 medium red bell pepper, diced
- 1 medium yellow bell pepper, diced
- 1 medium purple onion, peeled and chopped
- 2 tablespoons pizza seasoning, divided
- 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
- 3 teaspoons Creole seasoning
- 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 1 pre-baked pizza crust (12 ounces)
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
How To Make bacon medley pizza

Step 1Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Step 2Heat olive oil in a large, deep skillet over medium heat. Add raw bacon pieces, diced red and yellow peppers, and chopped purple onion. Cook and saute for 8 minutes or until the bacon pieces are brown and crispy and the vegetables are tender.

Step 3Season with 1 tablespoon pizza seasoning, brown sugar, Creole seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper.

Step 4Remove from heat and set aside. Reserve 1/2 cup bacon grease.

Step 5Whisk pizza sauce and bacon grease in a small bowl for 2 minutes until blended.

Step 6Coat a pizza pan with cooking spray. Place the pizza crust on the pan.

Step 7Spread the pizza sauce mixture on the crust. Add bacon medley and shredded sharp cheddar cheese. Season with remaining pizza seasoning.

Step 8Bake for 15 minutes until the cheese is melted.
