I created a fifth recipe of bacon medley creations on pizza. It tastes like a bacon cheeseburger pizza with bacon only.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound thick sliced bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 medium yellow bell pepper, diced
  • 1 medium purple onion, peeled and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons pizza seasoning, divided
  • 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
  • 3 teaspoons Creole seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 pre-baked pizza crust (12 ounces)
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

How To Make bacon medley pizza

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Step 2
    Heat olive oil in a large, deep skillet over medium heat. Add raw bacon pieces, diced red and yellow peppers, and chopped purple onion. Cook and saute for 8 minutes or until the bacon pieces are brown and crispy and the vegetables are tender.
  • Step 3
    Season with 1 tablespoon pizza seasoning, brown sugar, Creole seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  • Step 4
    Remove from heat and set aside. Reserve 1/2 cup bacon grease.
  • Step 5
    Whisk pizza sauce and bacon grease in a small bowl for 2 minutes until blended.
  • Step 6
    Coat a pizza pan with cooking spray. Place the pizza crust on the pan.
  • Step 7
    Spread the pizza sauce mixture on the crust. Add bacon medley and shredded sharp cheddar cheese. Season with remaining pizza seasoning.
  • Step 8
    Bake for 15 minutes until the cheese is melted.
