whole meal mac n cheese
(2 RATINGS)
This recipe came about when my daughters were small as a way to get them to eat their meat and veggies and not just mac n cheese. Add a tossed salad for a truly complete meal.

How To Make whole meal mac n cheese
-
Step 1Preheat your oven to 375. Cook the macaroni and veggies according the packages. Cut the ham steaks into cubes.
-
Step 2Mix the milk and one of the half and half in a sauce pan. Heat until just starting to boil. Take the milk off the heat and stir in the cheeses saving half cup combined for later. Add your salt and pepper and stir until creamy.
-
Step 3Drain the pasta and veggies. Add the ham, pasta, and veggies to the cheese mix and stir until well coated. Pour into a baking dish that has been sprayed with nonstick spray or buttered. Pour remaining half and half over the top and then top with the rest of the cheese and bread crumbs and bake until heated through and cheese is gooey and bubbly. ENJOY!
