vodka sauce for pasta
This recipe is pretty simple to make and a crowd-pleaser. I generally pair it with grilled chicken, penne pasta, and broccoli. You can omit the vodka, cream, and parmesan and have a decent marinara sauce as well.

Ingredients
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1-2 clove minced garlic
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 15 ounces canned tomato sauce or crushed tomatos
- 1/4 cup vodka
- 1-1.5 pint heavy cream
- 3 tablespoons parmesan cheese
- 4 teaspoons fresh basil (to taste really)
- 1 pound pasta of choice
How To Make vodka sauce for pasta

Step 1Melt butter, saute garlic and pepper flakes for 1 minute

Step 2Add tomato sauce (or crushed tomatoes) and vodka, simmer for 15 minutes, then remove from heat -- (start boiling water for your pasta)

Step 3Add heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and basil. Return to heat and cook another 15 minutes (or until your pasta is done cooking)
