Ingredients

  • 1 pound vermicelli, cooked
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3/4 pound ground beef
  • 35 ounces italian plum tomatoes, undrained
  • 6 ounces tomato paste
  • salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 6 ounces feta cheese, crumbled

How To Make vermicelli with meat sauce and feta cheese

  • Step 1
    Saute the onion in the olive oil over medium heat, then add the ground beef and saute until meat is browned and broken up.
  • Step 2
    Add the tomatoes and tomato paste.
  • Step 3
    Mix well, then add the salt, pepper, sugar and basil and let simmer.
  • Step 4
    Add the cheese to the sauce just before serving.
