Ingredients
- 6 ounces vermicelli, uncooked
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 - eggs, well beaten
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 8 ounces stewed tomatoes
- 6 ounces tomato paste
- 3/4 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 cup cottage cheese, creamed
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 8-12 slices pepperoni
How To Make vermicelli pie

Step 1Cook vermicelli according to package directions; drain.

Step 2Stir butter and parmesan cheese into hot vermicelli.

Step 3Add eggs, stirring well.

Step 4Spoon into a greased 10-inch pie plate.

Step 5Use a spoon to shape noodles into a pie shell.

Step 6Bake at 350 degrees, uncovered, for 9 minutes or until set.

Step 7Combine beef, onion and green pepper in a large skillet.

Step 8Cook over medium heat until meat is browned, stirring to crumble; drain well.

Step 9Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste and seasonings.

Step 10Cover and cook 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 11Spread cottage cheese evenly over pie shell.

Step 12Top with meat sauce.

Step 13Cover with foil, and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes; sprinkle with mozzarella, and top with pepperoni.

Step 14Bake, uncovered, about 5 minutes.
