This is an easy yet yummy dish that kids love.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces whole wheat egg noodles
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • - salt, seasoning salt, garlic & onion powder & worchestershire sauce to taste
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can tuna, drained
  • 1 can peas or 8 oz frozen
  • - crunchy topping of choice like crushed cheese crackers
  • - extra cheese as desired

How To Make tuna casserole

  • Step 1
    Cook noodles until al dente. If using frozen peas add during the last 4 minutes of cooking time. Drain.
  • Step 2
    To a small saucepan add the butter, flour & seasonings. Fry 1-2 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Whisk in the milk & cheese until it melts.
  • Step 4
    Stir in the tuna, peas & noodles.
  • Step 5
    Place in greased casserole dish.
  • Step 6
    Top with topping of choice & add extra cheese if desired.
  • Step 7
    Bake at 350' until golden.
