can whole tomatoes, undrained and chopped
10 3/4 oz
can tomato puree
1 c
chicken broth
1/2 c
grated romano cheese
1 tsp
dried whole oregano
1 tsp
1/4 c
marsala wine
2 pkg
fresh cheese or meat-filled tortellini (8 ounces each)
1/4 c
grated romano cheese
1 Tbsp
butter, melted
2 Tbsp
chopped fresh parsley

How to Make Tortellini con Prosciutto


  • 1Saute garlic in olive oil and 1 tablespoon melted butter in a large saucepan until golden brown. Add prosciutto and the next 6 ingredients; bring to a boil.
  • 2Reduce heat, and simmer 15 to 20 minutes or until the mixture thickens. Add the wine, and cook 1 to 2 minutes.
  • 3Cook tortellini according to package directions. Drain; place in a bowl. Add 1/4 cup Romano cheese and 1 tablespoon butter; toss.
  • 4Pour the prosciutto mixture over the tortellini; toss. Sprinkle with parsley.
