Ingredients

  • 1 pound farfalle
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 slices bacon, chopped
  • 2 small shallots
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup sugar snap peas
  • 1 cup frozen green peas
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream

How To Make tootie's creamy pea and bacon farfalle

  • Step 1
    Get a pot of water boiling for the farfalle, cook farfalle al dente.
  • Step 2
    In a deep skillet, heat olive oil and add chopped bacon. Cook until crispy.
  • Step 3
    Remove bacon from the pan. Drain some of the bacon grease, leaving a couple of tablespoons. Add diced shallots and garlic to the pan and cook until soft, about 3 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Add 1/2 cup chicken broth to the pan and sugar snap peas. Cook for two minutes.
  • Step 5
    Add bacon and peas.
  • Step 6
    Add cream and grated Parmesan. Stir until completely combined.
  • Step 7
    Add cooked pasta.
  • Step 8
    Cook until the consistency is thickened and the ingredients are well blended.
