28 ozcan of whole tomatos
10garlic cloves, crushed
2anchovy fillets (packed in oil)
1/2 sticksalted butter
1/2 tspred pepper flakes (or according to taste)
1/2 tspdry mustard
·salt and freshly cracked black pepper
How to Make Tina's Roasted Tomato Sauce for Pasta or Pizza
- Place the tomatoes in a 9x13 pan and carefully crush them up with your hands. Add the fillets, dry mustard, sugar, butter and red pepper flakes. Season with salt and pepper
- Bake uncovered in a 450 degree oven for 20 minutes. Remove and toss contents around in pan. nto oven and bake another 20 minutes until the tomatoes get thick and syrupy like a fruit preserve.
- remove from oven and mash any big chunks of tomato and garlic remaining.
