the ultimate tuna cassarole

My husband and I decided to make a tuna casserole last night. I chose 3 recipes and we put them all together - taking away and adding. This recipe is what we came up with. We took it over to my husbands brother and sister-in-law and they loved it as well. This is so yummy and by far the best tuna casserole I have ever had!

Ingredients

  • 1 package medium egg noodles - cooked and drained
  • 3 cans 5 oz tuna in water
  • 3 cans cream of mushroom soup - undiluted
  • 1 package 16 oz frozen mixed veggies
  • 1 package 4 cups mild cheddar cheese - shredded
  • 1 - small onion - finely diced and sauteed until translucent
  • 2 - sleeves of club crackers crushed fine
  • 1 stick butter - melted
  • 1 cup mayonaise
  • 1 - small container of sour cream

How To Make the ultimate tuna cassarole

  • Step 1
    Preheat over to 350 degrees. Mix in large bowl tuna, soup, onion, mayo, frozen veggies, sour cream, and half of the shredded cheddar
  • Step 2
    Next fold in cooked egg noodles then spread mixture in 9X13 pan sprayed with non-stick spray
  • Step 3
    Cover with remaining cheese.
  • Step 4
    mix melted margarine and crushed crackers till well coated and sprinkle over casserole. Bake till golden and bubbly.
