Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 pounds ground beef
  • 3 ounces cream cheese with chives
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 18 - pasta shells, giant
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 cup taco sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded monterey jack cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups tortilla chips, crushed
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3 - chopped green onions

How To Make tacos in pasta shells

  • Step 1
    Cook, rinse and drain pasta shells.
  • Step 2
    Cut cream cheese into cubes.
  • Step 3
    Cook beef in a large skillet over medium high heat until brown, stirring to separate meat; drain fat.
  • Step 4
    Reduce heat to medium low.
  • Step 5
    Add cream cheese, salt and chili powder; simmer 5 minutes.
  • Step 6
    Toss shells with butter; fill with beef mixture.
  • Step 7
    Arrange shells in buttered 13x9\" pan.
  • Step 8
    Pour taco sauce over each shell.
  • Step 9
    Cover with foil.
  • Step 10
    Bake in preheated 350 oven 15 minutes.
  • Step 11
    Uncover; top with cheddar cheese, monterey jack cheese and chips.
  • Step 12
    Bake 15 minutes more or until bubbly.
  • Step 13
    Top with sour cream and onions.
  • Step 14
    Garnish with lettuce.
