Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 lb
    ground beef
  • 3 oz
    cream cheese with chives
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    chili powder
  • 18
    pasta shells, giant
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter, melted
  • 1 c
    taco sauce
  • 1 c
    shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 c
    shredded monterey jack cheese
  • 1 1/2 c
    tortilla chips, crushed
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • 3
    chopped green onions

How to Make Tacos In Pasta Shells

Step-by-Step

  1. Cook, rinse and drain pasta shells.
  2. Cut cream cheese into cubes.
  3. Cook beef in a large skillet over medium high heat until brown, stirring to separate meat; drain fat.
  4. Reduce heat to medium low.
  5. Add cream cheese, salt and chili powder; simmer 5 minutes.
  6. Toss shells with butter; fill with beef mixture.
  7. Arrange shells in buttered 13x9" pan.
  8. Pour taco sauce over each shell.
  9. Cover with foil.
  10. Bake in preheated 350 oven 15 minutes.
  11. Uncover; top with cheddar cheese, monterey jack
    cheese and chips.
  12. Bake 15 minutes more or until bubbly.
  13. Top with sour cream and onions.
  14. Garnish with lettuce.
