taco macaroni and cheese

Feeling creative, I made this one night using ingredients I already had on hand. It turned out great and my family loves it! I add the Velveeta for extra cheesiness. :)

Ingredients
- 1 box macaroni and cheese dinner
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 package taco seasoning mix
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 can rotel tomatoes and green chiles, drained
- - velveeta cheese, optional
How To Make taco macaroni and cheese

Step 1Boil pasta in a medium saucepan as directed on the package. Drain, then return to pan. Add butter, milk, and macaroni cheese seasoning from the box (And/or Velveeta, to desired cheesiness!). Set aside.

Step 2While pasta is boiling, brown your beef in a separate skillet over medium-high heat until no longer pink; drain. Return to pan.

Step 3Add water and taco seasoning mix to the beef. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Add Rotel tomatoes and chiles, then reduce heat to simmer. Simmer for 5 minutes.

Step 4In a large serving dish, combine the beef mixture and macaroni and cheese. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
