Ingredients
- 1/2 pound small shell pasta
- 1 cup fresh shelled peas
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 teaspoons freshly grated lemon zest
- 1 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons parsley, minced
- salt and pepper
How To Make sweet peas and shells alfredo

Step 1Bring a pot of heavily salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook for about 15 minutes.

Step 2Throw in the peas and cook 5 more minutes. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.

Step 3Dry out the pot and add the cream. Bring to a simmer and let reduce for about 5 minutes. Add the butter and let it melt, then add the lemon zest.

Step 4Add the Parmesan cheese and the pasta with peas. Add a little pasta water if the sauce is too dry.

Step 5Taste and season with salt and pepper. Garnish with parsley.
